Sequential translation

One of the types of interpretation that is carried out in the intervals between sentences and phrases of a person is called sequential translation. At the normal pace of a person’s speech, these pauses just separate paragraphs or several complex sentences. The translator should not just duplicate phrases in another language, translating them word for word, but also convey the emotions of the speaker. After all, it is important not only to translate the text but also to convey its main idea to the audience. The translator’s job is to memorize the meaning of a paragraph and reproduce it in another language when the foreigner makes a special pause. At the same time, it is important to preserve the style and manner of speech of the speaker.
